The jump and drop progression zone, plus natural jumps on the trails, will enable you to learn in a safe and progressive way.<\/p>\n<p>Progress with us and accelerate your learning of the essential maneuvers for absorbing and pumping modules with the right technique. This course will give you the essentials to take your flying to the next level.<\/h4>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a tabindex=\"0\">Recommended if&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<li>You can comfortably ride intermediate (blue) trails and roll intermediate (blue) 2-3 feet roll-downs<\/li>\n<li>You can also ride some advanced (black) trails<\/li>\n<li>You wish to master intermediate (blue) jumps and drops, or progress towards harder advanced (black) trails<\/li>\n<li>You have already taken the intermediate riding course, <b>OR<\/b> you have solid fundamentals in position, mobility and braking<\/li>\n<li>You feel that your progression is stagnating and you wish to learn how to jump safely and in control<\/li>\n<p>\nYou answered <b>YES<\/b> to most of these questions? <b>This clinic is for you.<\/b>  If you are unsure and have any questions, please contact us<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a tabindex=\"0\">Clinic description<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jumps and drops are without a doubt the most enjoyable techniques to master.  Whether it&#8217;s a natural obstacle on a trail or a jump or drop on a flow trail, the technique is the same.  This allows for a more playful and dynamic style to express yourself on the trail. You will have the opportunity to break down the maneuvers leading to a bunnyhop.  You will then be able to apply these maneuvers in jumps and drops.  After successfully rolling modules, you will gradually be able to take air.  This is where the fun starts !<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lesson format&nbsp;:&nbsp;<\/strong>In this intermediate\/advanced clinic, we will learn and practice (when possible) in a bike park.  We learn passive and active pressure in a safe environment and then learn the basics of a jump and a break.  As you progress, more advanced obstacles will follow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coach:<\/strong>&nbsp; Your coach will be certified level II pmbia.org air or trail module and first aid 20h or 40h in remote area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terrain <i>air:<\/i><\/strong>&nbsp; The progression zones and natural modules in the Bromont Parc des Sommets are the ideal place to learn how to jump and drop safely and effectively. An alternative will be offered to the client, which may require pedalling towards a trail.\n<\/li>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a tabindex=\"0\">What to bring ?<\/a><\/p>\n<li><b>Knee protectors mandatory (for all)<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Long fingered gloves and elbow protection highly recommended<\/li>\n<li>Mountain bike specific helmet<\/li>\n<li>Sportswear adapted to the weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>Hydration (bike bottle) and nutrition (bars)<\/li>\n<li>Flat-soled shoes (Vans type) or mountain bike shoes<\/li>\n<li>Flat pedals with metal cleats or automatic mountain bike pedals (clips)<\/li>\n<li>Please avoid plastic pedals, dual sided pedals or minimalist XC pedals and shoes&nbsp;<\/li>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a tabindex=\"0\">Planing your day<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<p>To protect yourself from minor scrapes and injuries, Bikeskills recommends that you ALWAYS wear knee protection.  Gloves, eyewear \/ goggles and elbow protection are also recommended, but not mandatory. Of course, a helmet is always essential, ideally a mountain bike specific helmet. Lightweight full-face helmets provide additional protection. &nbsp;A full-face helmet and chest protector for advanced and\/or lift accessed courses is also highly recommended.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAs the class will be held outdoors, we might not have access to indoor facilities. It is recommended that you check the mountain weather forecast and plan accordingly, as mountain weather can change rapidly. Think about layering clothing to adapt to conditions, a lightweight jacket is always a good option to have. &nbsp;It is recommended that each member of the group bring snacks and water to ensure they have enough energy to enjoy the class.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a tabindex=\"0\">Cautionary note to participants<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<p>As we want to prepare you for a great experience, here are some notes on risk management in mountain biking.<\/p>\n<li>Communicate your apprehensions, previous injuries and physical limitations to your coach.<\/li>\n<li>Do not exceed your physical and technical limits.<\/li>\n<li>All difficulties and modules such as drops and jumps are optional at all times. If needed, we can always reduce the physical and technical demands of the lesson.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the objective and level of the course, challenges will be progressively incorporated, from simple terrain to more complex features.<\/li>\n<li>Before embarking on a technical section, participants must demonstrate a minimum level of mastery on flat terrain or on trails of lesser technical difficulty.<\/li>\n<li>As with any group activity, your coach will adapt the lesson to cater to all participants. We strive to have similar level participants in our group lessons, but the reality is that it is not always possible as describing a skill level is always subjective.
