Learning the basics

Description :  This clinic will allow you to acquire the essential basis of bike riding. Once you have acquired the proper position and mobility, your progress will be faster, more efficient, and you will reduce the risk of injury.

Lesson format : You will love group lessons! The experience and energy the group will provide allows you to practice all the technical concepts being taught at your ease.

Concepts :  In a green and blue terrain, you will learn the proper position and mobility as well as the integration of essential braking and shifting skills. This clinic will allow you to be autonomous in your practice: climbs, descents and cornering will no longer hold any secrets for you!

Coach :  Your coach will be certified Level I pmbia.org and First Aid 20 hours in remote areas.

Terrain:  Mont Oak in Bromont, la Raph at Sentiers du Moulin, the “sucrés” at Vallée Bras du Nord, Easy Rider at Le Massif

Progressing beyond beginner

Description :  This module will allow you to continue your progression towards mastering more demanding technical trails. You wish to consolidate your fundamentals on a blue trail, in order to be strong, stable and confident? Or progress to black trails? This clinic is for you!

Lesson format : Intermediate level clinic in small groups. We focus on millage and guided practice. No more big theoretical lectures, we ride!

Concepts :  In a blue, dark blue and black terrain, you will consolidate the fundamentals of positioning, mobility and braking. We put a lot of emphasis on stability gained from a strong stance and sufficient range of motion to smooth out the ride. What could be more pleasant than entering a turn or a descent with stability and to come out of it with speed!

Coach :  Your coach will be certified level II pmbia.org (or exceptional coaching experience) and first aid 20h or 40h in remote areas.

Terrain:  L’oural et la Yak Attack at Mont Oak, l’Hummus at Bromont, the QMG and Super G at Sentiers du Moulin, the Neilson at Vallée Bras du Nord, la Basilic at Le Massif

Cornering module

Description :  Cornering, an elusive skills for many cyclists, will no longer be a secret! You want to hone your skills to control flat and banked turns. This is for you!

Lesson Format : Intermediate to advanced level clinic in small groups. After breaking down the essentials of a isolated corner in detail, we focus on millage and guided practice.

Concepts :  In blue, dark blue and black terrain you will consolidate the fundamentals of positioning and mobility, gradually adding angulation and rotation. This will allow you to maintain your trajectory in a trail and have the opportunity to make a quick directional changes, with smoothness and flow! What could be more enjoyable than entering a turn with stability and exiting with speed!

Coach:  Your coach will be certified level I or II pmbia.org and first aid 20h or 40h in remote areas.

Terrain:  The Cassonade and Yak Attack at Mont Oak, the 56/60 in Bromont, the Super G and Slab City at Sentiers du Moulin, the Neilson at Vallée Bras du Nord, the Basilic at Le Massif

Air module

Description :  Jumps and drops are without a doubt the most enjoyable techniques to master. Whether it’s a natural obstacle on a trail or a jump or drop on a flow trail, the technique is the same. This allows for a more playful and dynamic style to express yourself on the trail.

Lesson format : In this intermediate/advanced clinic, we will learn and practice (when possible) in a bike park. We learn passive and active pressure in a safe environment and then learn the basics of a jump and a break. As you progress, more advanced obstacles will follow.

Concepts :  You will have the opportunity to break down the maneuvers leading to a bunnyhop. You will then be able to apply these maneuvers in jumps and drops. After successfully rolling modules, you will gradually be able to take air. This is where the fun starts !

Coach:  Your coach will be certified level II pmbia.org air or trail module and first aid 20h or 40h in remote area.

Terrain air:  The progressive bike parks at Mont Oak and Ski Bromont, the Sauce piquante at Sentiers du Moulin, the Tablerone and Godzilla at Vallée Bras du Nord, the jump line at E47.

Advanced trail module

Description :  This clinic will allow you to fine tune your riding on demanding and technical trails. Whether on the ground or in the air, we will dissect trail features in order to work on skill development. Pre-ride, ride, freeride!

Lesson format : Small group clinics. Coaching ratios are high in order to give you personalized service. Group clinics are an excellent way to learn from your peers and benefit from the rider’s energies! We do everything possible to help you progress to a higher level, in a safe environment.

Concepts :  Consolidation and application of refined riding skills. We will overview the complete skill pyramid, then work in depth on a specific skill. What is your challenge? We will help you achieve it!

Entraîneur:  Your coach will be certified level II pmbia.org with air or trail module and first aid 20h or 40h in remote area.

Terrain:  The 7-20-25 at Ski Bromont, the Chaton and the Litière at P7 Bromont, the Maelstrom sector and LB’s at Sentiers du Moulin, the Godzilla at Vallée Bras du Nord, the Descente du coude and Belzébrute at E47, the Gros Boeuf at Le Massif.

4 week progression clinics

Description :  These progression clinics will allow you to start your season with safety and confidence. Participants will follow a progression of skills to reach another level of trail riding. In addition, you will learn in a motivating and inspiring environment with other riders of your caliber.

Pre-requisites :

  • 100% good vibes
  • Passionate about mountain bikes
  • Excellent attitude, willing to participate actively and work as a team
  • Good physical shape to climb the mountain
  • Bicycle in excellent condition
  • Motivated to improve technique, willing to progress

Lesson format :  Beginner to advanced level clinic. Small groups of six participants are formed to meet the specific needs of each participant. A specific theme determines the sessions in order to cover a maximum of skills while respecting the level of the group. What is your challenge? We will help you reach it!

Concepts :  The following topics will be covered during the 4 Bikemoms / Bikegroms sessions: Basic positioning, braking, and cornering; climbing and descending; trail flow; and depending on the group’s skill level, introduction to jumps and drops.
